JANET ARMSTRONG (nee CLARKSON) After a courageous battle with cancer Janet passed away at the Grace Hospice, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Jemina and Wilfred Clarkson of Whitewood, her only son Bruce in 1993. She leaves to cherish her loving daughter Debbie (David), grandchildren Erica, Devin, Chris, Cody, brother Jack (Georgia), sisters Joyce (Alan), June (Doug), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet was born April 9, 1939 in Whitewood, SK where she received her education. Many weekend and summer holidays were enjoyed at the family cabin in Bird's Point Round Lake. Janet worked for many years at Central Park Lodge. After retirement she did volunteer work at Oakview Nursing Home. The elderly folks looked forward to and enjoyed her loving smile and kind words. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Grace Hospice for their care and compassion of Janet. Viewing will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, with an interment and reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
