JOHN DICKSON SENIOR After a brief battle with cancer, Jack Senior quietly passed away on June 9, 2009. He was born in Scotland on December 26, 1928 and came to Canada in 1930. He has left to cherish his memory, his wife Fran of 56 years; daughters, Heather Shaw, Shelley (Neil) Hawthorn and Alana Senior. His eight grandchildren, Breanne (Mike) and Holly Shaw, Cory and Chad (Chrissy) Hawthorn, Jennifer and Michelle Senior, Anthony and Ron Parker. Great-grandchildren, Avery and Bodhi Wasylnuk-Shaw and Aryanna Plawiak. Jack worked for the Greater Winnipeg Gas Company for 35 years. He was a member, and a Senator, of Pine Ridge Golf Course for 32 years. His retirement days were spent with family, friends and many happy hours volunteering his time at the Transcona Memorial United Church where he was an honorary Elder. The family wishes to thank the Concordia Hospital, 3 East, Nursing Staff for their compassionate care. Donations may be made to the Transcona Memorial United Church. As per the family wishes, there will be no formal service.
