Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAIVVE PATRICIA NISBET January 3, 1923 - June 8, 2009 Peacefully on June 8, 2009, Waivve Patricia Nisbet passed away at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB at the age of 86 years. Waivve was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Nisbet; brothers, John and Ewart; sister Lyla; sister-in-law Helen; and niece Donna. Waivve is lovingly remembered by her niece Pat Gamelin (Hank) of Saskatoon, SK and their two daughters, Lara Gamelin (Phil) Escanlar, their children, Emmy and Luke: Adrienne (Kevin) Ewanchyna and their children, Quinn, Zoe and Bennet, all of Corvallis, Oregon; her dear friends, Doug and Margaret Hicks of Winnipeg, MB and their daughters, Corinne (Mort) Larsen, Lorraine (Craig) Walton, Heather (John) Titley and their families, as well as several cousins. Waivve was born on January 3, 1923 in North Battleford, the youngest of four children to William and Mary Nisbet. She spent her schooling there, then went on to become a linotypist in the printing business, primarily with the Winnipeg Tribune in Winnipeg. Following retirement, Waivve enjoyed her cottage at Gimli as well as her Winter home in Apache Junction, Arizona. Waivve enjoyed her family and friends and loved socializing with them, often entertaining us with her very dry wit. She was a lover of good music, had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, and enjoyed travelling. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Betel Home Foundation for their very kind care of Waivve. Respecting Waivve's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Her cremains will be interred at the family plot in North Battleford at a later date.
