(JOSEPH) ANDRE DRUMMOND (DADDY O) August 12, 1953 - June 8, 2009 Andrè lost his valiant fight for life Monday, June 8, 2009 at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife Sandra and family. Andrè and Sandy met in 1979 and together they have two beautiful daughters Deanna Zarrae Drummond (Luis) and Taylor Anne Drummond (My Rock!). Deanna and Luis gave us the best gift in 2002 by making us grandparents to Jackson Nathan Costillo Drummond. Andrè and Sandy's wonderful family continues to grow with a new grandchild due in November. Andrè is also survived by his son Trevis Drummond, grandchildren Shanessa and Lakiesha. Trevis thank you for your visits, they meant everything to your dad. He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother Verna Drummond, who came in from Saint John, New Brunswick and spent the last three weeks with him. In edition, Andrè will be dearly missed by his brothers, Antoine, who kept Andrè laughing until the end; Gary Parker of Ontario, Adrian of Ontario, Aaron of New Brunswick and their families. As well as his sisters Darcy of New Brunswick, Darlana of Ontario, Holly of New Brunswick, Theresa of New Brunswick, Angie of New Brunswick and their families. Andrè was predeceased by is father Joseph Drummond, A Human Rights Activist; by his son Nathan Trent Andrè Drummond (have a good Father's Day together you three); his brother Armand Drummond, dear friends John McMenemy and Garnet Johnston. Andrè was born in Digby, Nova Scotia and moved to Saint John, New Brunswick as a young child. He got such joy visiting many, many countries as a Sea Cadet. He moved to Winnipeg in 1975. He had worked with New Flyer Industries, Manitoba Government and part-time at Salisbury House. We wish to thank St. Boniface Hospital and all its staff, especially Dr. Pasco (The Mechanic); Dr. Freed (The Magician), Dr. Zeiroth (The Miracle Worker); Marcie, you are the kindest person, Kelly thank you for your strength and patience. Thank you to all the profusionists, thanks to some very special doctors , nurses and nurses aids (our friends) in C.I.C.U. and C.T.V. and H.D. Shelley and Anne from C.I.C.U., we are forever indebted to you and Louise and Sheri from C.T.V. Thank you to all of our friends Janice and Tony; Carole; Lynn; Geri and Winston; Andrew; Sharon; Mike and Marj, The Carpathia Co-Op Family, Sandy's Workplace, MB Education for all their patience and understanding, and nephew Justin (Kattha) and Kids.
