EVELYN WIEBE Peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2009, at the Grace Hospital, with her family at her side, Evelyn Wiebe of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 80 years. Mom was predeceased by Dad (Bill) in 2005. Mom will be sadly missed by daughters, Kathy Robertson (Wayne), Cindy Lo (Kam), and sons, Dennis (Bev), Rob (Linda), Alf (Candy) as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Evelyn was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on December 9, 1928 and was the last surviving member of the family of Jacob and Katherine Klippenstein. Mom's greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, telling us over and over again, Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff . She was always there for us when we needed a compassionate ear to whisper in. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Deer Lodge (4E) and the Grace Hospital (Emergency, ICU and 3 North) for the care and consideration given to our mother. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street with visitation prior to the service. Interment to follow in LaSalle Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made in Mom's name to Canadian Diabetes foundation available at the service.
