DONNA VIOLA BUFFIE November 2, 1913 - June 7, 2009 Donna passed away peacefully on June 7, 2009, at Concordia Place. She lived a long, happy and healthy life. Left to cherish her memory are her son Carl (Sharon), grandchildren Susan and Shaun (Carina) and great-granddaughter Hayley. She was the youngest of four children born to Mabel and Thomas Wilson in Bruno, Saskatchewan. During a trip to Winnipeg to visit friends she met Ralph and they were happily married for 45 years. Donna had a huge range of interests from card games (especially cribbage), music (she loved to sing and dance), sports (the Bombers of course), to every craft imaginable and she especially loved words, word games (Scrabble etc.) and she loved writing poems and ditties for all special occasions. Although she had done some traveling, her favourite places in the whole world were Genthon St., the Champlain Community Club, Kenbur Gardens and Gull Lake. We would like to thank the staff at Concordia Place for their warm and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street) at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Donna's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
