CHARLES MACDONNELL COLE Surrounded by his family, Charles MacDonnell Cole, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 82. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish many fond memories his loving wife Eleanor, his four children, Linda (Clinton) Hinkle of San Diego, CA; Wayne (Shawna) Cole of Winnipeg; Cynthia (Gerald) Mouser of Paradise, CA; and Terrence (Cindy) Cole of Winnipeg; 12 grandchildren, Laura, Amy and Ted; Alana, Jodi, and Becky; Doug, Melissa and Trisha; Amber and Valerie; and nine great-grandchildren. Charles was predeceased by his sister June Danforth and grandson Curtis Mouser. Charlie was a devoted husband who shared an especially strong bond with his wife Eleanor for over 62 years. Their side-by-side partnership was unlike any other. The importance of family and the undoubted loyalty, love and patience he gave to his children and grandchildren was a constant demonstration of his moral fiber. Charlie was a skilled, gifted and hardworking craftsman, and enjoyed countless hours of gardening. He was known as a man of few words who treasured loyalty, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. He was a deeply spiritual man with a strong belief in his Creator. His love of reading the Bible reinforced his faith in a resurrection, which gives us confidence that we will see him again on the promised paradise earth. A memorial of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 60 Cadboro Rd, Winnipeg. The model Charlie crafted and demonstrated by the way he lived his life will be reflected in the lives of his family for many generations.
