Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD BELL February 28, 1919 June 14, 2009 After a brief illness it is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ed Bell on June 14, 2009 at the Health Science Centre. Ed will be sadly missed by his wife Marion of 67 years; son Garry (Marlene); daughters Cheryl (John), Heather (Dennis) and Margie (John); nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the last survivor of a family of 11. Ed was raised in Holmfield, Manitoba. He served in the Canadian Provost Corp from 1941 to 1946 and was a member of the Weston Legion #2. Ed was part owner of Bell Flooring with his two brothers. Ed was an avid sports fan participating in baseball and hockey during his youth and curling and golf in his adult years. He was a longtime member of the Victoria Curling Club and the West Kildonan Seniors Golf. He golfed 18 holes three weeks prior to his passing. With his outgoing personality he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The happiest moments for Ed were when all family members were gathered together. His children will be forever grateful for his love, care and devotion that he showed to our mother. The family wishes to thank Doug, Dani and the staff of the Health Science Centre GB3 for the care given to our Dad in his time of need. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave with a reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
