HAROLD JAMES ROCHE (ROSCHE) Peacefully, on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Grace Hospital, Harold Roche, aged 71 years, of Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Otto and Veiga; sisters, Josephine (Jim Dickson), Margaret (Siggi Sveinson), Tillie (Dori Sveinson), Shirley (Jonas Einarson); brothers, Arthur (Phyllis), Wilfred (Edna), William (Karen); and sister-in-law Lillian. He is survived by sister Ruth (Asgier Finnsson); brothers, Victor, Gordon (Audrey), Lloyd (Jeannette), and Margaret Jopp (Jack), and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was employed for many years as the Receiving Manager for Sears in Winnipeg. He was transferred to Oshawa, ON, for a few years where he assisted with the hiring of staff for a new Sears store. He then returned to Sears in Winnipeg for a number of years. He was always so helpful to anyone who needed assistance. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to all his friends at Gizzy's Restaurant Bar for making it his home away from home. In accordance with Harold's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Family and friends will honour his memory with a graveside service at Hnausa Cemetery in Hnausa, MB on Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Zinken officiating. A coffee reception will be held at Hnausa Hall following the service. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
