MARLENE BARKER (nee WITT) Marlene Barker, aged 60 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at her residence in Rennie, MB. Marlene leaves to mourn, her sons Brian (Michelle) and grandchildren Eric and Scott of Rennie, MB and Michael (Marie) of Winnipeg, MB and their father Stewart Barker of Winnipeg, MB; sisters Janet (Henry) Calvez and Kelly Witt, brothers Doug, David and Barry (Linda) Witt, all of Winnipeg, numerous nieces and nephews as well as her good friend Connie. She was predeceased by her brother Ron Witt in 2008. Marlene was a party animal. She loved to sing and dance and gave it her all. For the past seven years, she worked at the Brereton Lake Campground and White Lake Resort. Prior to that, she and her sister Janet owned and operated their hair shop Marjans in Winnipeg for 16 years. She also loved playing baseball and enjoyed bowling with family and friends for over 20 years. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB.
