ROBERT ARTHUR FLAMAND December 5, 1946 - June 20, 2009 Suddenly, after a lengthy fight against C.O.P.D., Rob passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara and his children, Sean (Barb), Dolores (Darrin), Jodi (Rich) and he was a second father to Mike Miller and his grandchildren, Cole Bunky , Kamryn Baby and Ryder Champ , his step-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Jodi, Michael and his step-great-granddaughter Shyanne. He also leaves behind his sisters and brother, Brenda, Cheryl, Dwight and Rhonda (Joey) and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, sisters and brothers-in-law, Madeline (Monty), Marj, Don (Maureen) and Bob, and his special cousin Terry (Eleanor). He was predeceased by his parents Euclid and Annie, in-laws, Ruby and Stan, brother Rene and sister-in-law Pat. Rob was raised most of his life in the West End and Brooklands and lived his married life in Fort Rouge where he had numerous friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially summers at Grand Marais and in later years, being with the grandchildren, especially his Father's Day picnics in Crescent Park. He made many friends on his route to collect scrap and his trips to the dump. We will miss his jokes (even if sometimes he was the only one laughing), we'll miss his laugh and him always telling you he loved you. In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
