JOHN ROBERT MILLS John Robert Mills (Jack) was born July 19, 1919 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and passed away peacefully on June 2, 2009 at Beacon Hill Lodge. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Lucy, his son Garry and daughter-in-law Lee. His son Bob, of Moosomin, SK also passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2009. Jack is survived by his stepchildren, Steve of Vancouver, BC, Stacey (Cyrille) of Port Coquitlam, BC and Christta (George) of Winnipeg. He will also be remembered by his seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law Em of Burnaby, BC. He spent his work life with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Growing up, Jack kept very active playing hockey and baseball. He remained active bowling, curling and swimming well into his senior years. He had been very active in the North Winnipeg Centennial Seniors Centre in earlier years. He loved to go dancing and play bingo with his Lucy. In keeping with Jack's wishes, cremation will take place and no service will be held. The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for all their care and attention to Jack and Lucy during their stay. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
