VERNA LAGIMODIERE July 1, 1929 - June 23, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose du Lac, on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Verna was predeceased by her husband Frank Lagimodiere, son Franklin Lagimodiere (Jumbo), her grandson Richard Lagimodiere, her parents Walter and Mary Louise Thompson, her sisters Doris and Rita, her brothers Henry, Louis and Clifford and two special friends Dan Campbell and Fred St. Paul. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories: her son Darrell (Gail), her brother Douglas (Alice), her sister Lorraine, as well as her grandchildren Ashley (Jessica), Michael, James, and Tammy (Eric), numerous great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Verna loved spending time with her family and was a strong influence in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a kind loving lady who loved to help others. She loved to knit, sew and play bingo. The family would like to thank the many friends who visited Verna and extended their love and concern for her over the years. To the staff of the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home, thank you for your compassionate care and for being such a great comfort to our family. A traditional wake and prayer service will be held on Friday, June 26 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Ebb Flow Band Hall, Ebb Flow First Nation. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 27, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Ebb Flow First Nation. Fr. Norberto Monton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ste.
