JANET DEANNA LEGRANGE (MALINOSKI)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET DEANNA LEGRANGE (nee MALINOSKI) Peacefully, with her beloved husband at her side, Janet D. Legrange took her place among the angels on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre at age 69 years. Remaining to forever cherish Janet's memory are her loving husband Larry; son Chris (Kristen) and grandchildren Shawn and Jillian; son Rob (Kyla) and granddaughter Clarice; daughter Kathe and grandchildren Taryn, Tanya and Cole. Also left to mourn are her mother Doris Malinoski; brother Gord (Gladys) Malinoski, both of Winnipeg; brother Reg Malinoski of Mexico; sister-in-law Dianne Malinoski of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Sandy Spencer of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Lois (Johnney) Legrange of Selkirk, MB; sister-in-law Bev Heron of Chilliwack, BC; and brother-in-law Bob (Sherryn) Legrange of Grand Forks, BC. Janet will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and their families, extended family, many neighbours, friends, colleagues, and special pet Tess. She was predeceased by her father Reg Malinoski in 1980; her brother Richard Malinoski in February 2008 and her sister Leslie Spencer in February 2008. Born on February 25, 1940 to Doris and Reg Malinoski, Janet grew up in Sioux Lookout, ON where she formed lifelong friendships. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1956, where she attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, and met the love of her life, Larry. Larry and Janet married on January 24, 1959. They enjoyed their days in the Air Force, making many friends wherever they were posted. They settled in Winnipeg, where Dad began teaching and they began their family. They moved their family to Westwood in 1986. Janet continued to work in the library at Wellington School, until her retirement. Larry and Janet travelled extensively across Canada and spent much of their time at the cottage, often with their grandchildren. We are very grateful that she was able to enjoy their 50th Anniversary with her beloved Larry on January 24, 2009. Janet enjoyed her family immensely. She spent many hours baking, sewing and volunteering at the school library, where she eventually came on staff. She was an active member of the United Church and was always there to help. Janet was a gentle soul, who was pure in spirit. She was always there to help and spent a great deal of time caring for others. She took great pride in her children and grand-children, and spent countless hours at events and ceremonies for them. Janet enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlepoint, reading, hosting holidays and parties, and held countless bridal and baby showers. She particularly enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flower beds. Janet's Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street, Winnipeg, MB. A Private family interment will follow immediately at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the lower hall in the Kirkfield Park United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted at CancerCare Manitoba Research Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or the Diabetes Research Foundation, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
