MODEST (MOD) DEMCHUK 1926 - 2009 Mod passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 25 after a brief illness. He leaves to cherish his memory - his wife Loraine, his children: Barbara (Tim), David (Cheryl), John (Laurel), Michael (Ginger), Bethany (Brett), thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandson and a large extended family. A funeral service will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 19 St. Marks Place, Winnipeg, on Saturday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a memorial service at the United Church in Benito, MB, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, followed by interment at the Benito cemetery. The Rev. Ian Peterson will officiate. Sincere thanks to Dr. Lowden, Dr. Kaufmann, the doctors and staff on 3 East Riverview, and the coordinator and Palliative care visiting nurses. Special thanks to all those caring individuals who supported us during Mod's illness with prayers, food and love! No flowers please.
