MURIEL JEAN MCKELVEY We are saddened to announce that on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Grace Hospice, Jean passed away at the age of 80 years. Jean lived at Lions Manor for the past nine years where she made many friends. She loved her budgies and animals (both real and stuffed). She had a special cat friend named Dexter that she loved to buy treats for. Jean was fiercely independent, living her life with grace and dignity. She had a keen sense of humour and enjoyed a good laugh. She taught us to walk softly, praise people for what they do and not criticize them for what they cannot do. Wisdom and grace was evident in her life. Respecting Jean's wishes, she will be cremated. No formal service will be held in Winnipeg. A small family service will be held in Ontario at a later date. Special thanks to Peter R., Joe W., Lorraine K., Arley D., Joyce K., Henry P. and Judy L. for being there. Jean loved the outdoors. To honour her memory donations can be made in her name to Lions Manor Recreation to put towards a park bench. Rest in Peace, dear friend.
