BEVERLY CAROLE YOUNGER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Carole Younger on Friday May 29, 2009 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Mom was born in Deloraine, Manitoba October 6, 1939. Bev was the youngest daughter of Walter and Hilda Heath. On October 25, 1956 she married Ed Younger and they moved to Virden were Ed worked in the oil industry and then moved to Lauder were they farmed for a few years. Mom had many interesting life experiences that added fulfillment to her life. Mom drove school bus for years and she ran the Lauder Inn and Post Office for a couple of years. In 1976 they moved to Fredenstalh where Ed worked for Pool Elevators and Mom worked at the Ridgeville Community Club. They developed some very close relationships that she kept until her passing. In 1979 she started working at the Hartney Collegiate. She loved working there because of the social network that developed with the students and teachers. Mom stayed working there for 25 years. Everyone one was welcome at Mom's place. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest pleasure. Left to mourn are her children Shane (Roberta), Kelly Bartel (James Unger), Kim Chalmers (Rick), and Calvin (Darlene); grandchildren Monica (Aaron), Meaghan Younger, Greg Bartel, Kathy, Kirsten Chalmers, Karen, Brandy, Jessica, Cody, Keirsha, Paris, Alora, Olivia, Jerricco Younger; great-grandchildren Coltin, Bailey. Also surviving is her sister Adelaide Miller brothers Willard, Howard (Delene), Urban (Eilene), and Robert (Bunny), and Joyce Heath and Lois Heath and many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeased by her husband Ed in 1997, her parents Walter and Hilda Heath, brother Elwood and Charlie, sister-in-law Betty Heath and brother-in-law Charlie Miller. Funeral services were held in the Lauder Community Hall on June 6, 2009 with interment at the Lauder Cemetery. Urn Bearers were Greg Bartel and Cody Younger.
