SHIRLEY DARLENE MOTOSKA On Saturday, June 13, 2009, after a brief illness (Shirley) Darlene Motoska (nee Loeppky) succumbed to cancer and died peacefully at Grace Hospice, Winnipeg MB at the age of 62. Darlene is survived by her brother William Lloyd Loeppky of Nanaimo, BC; daughter Catherine Pate of Winnipeg, MB (Jamie Howison), and granddaughter Callaway Stephanson-Pate of Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Abe and Betty Loeppky of Niverville, MB. Darlene was an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed curling and was a faithful fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Blue Jays. She loved animals and was a long-time member of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation. She took great pride in and enjoyment from her over 35 career as a paralegal in Winnipeg. Darlene's family and friends would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospice for their professional and compassionate care. An informal reception and interment will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, St. Boniface Research Foundation, Sandra Schmirler Foundation or D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre.
