Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY SOPHIE KOKOT Peacefully, on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Misericordia Health Centre, Dorothy Sophie Kokot passed away at the age of 84. Survived by her daughters Meryl Anema (Jack) and Iris Giesbrecht (Menno); grandchildren Jason Anema (Laura), Tara-Lynn Giesbrecht, Kelly-Anne Bodvarson (Kenny); great-grandchildren Noah, Emma, Jacob and Jasmine; sister Agnes Rist (Senno); brothers Herman Rattai (Jeanette), Gordon Rattai (Elizabeth) and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Leonard Kokot, Betty Kiffiak, and Freda Fulford. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Ronald and her brothers Alfred Rattai (Hannah), Edward Rattai (Elsie), Henry Rattai (Frieda). Dorothy was born on February 12, 1925 to Phillip and Ernestina Rattai. She enjoyed playing Hawaiian guitar, gardening and spending time with her family. Dorothy was an active member of Calvary Temple and Sunday school teacher for many years, as well as a devoted member of Prayer Chain. The family would like to thank the staff on Cornish 6 who looked after Mom with love and compassion. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Temple (Buntain Chapel), 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, MB., with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to Calvary Temple Youth Camp, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3A8.
