Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTINA THIESSEN On Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the age of 89 years, Tina went home to be with her Saviour. Left to mourn are her sisters Agatha Thiessen and Betty Thiessen; daughter Lorna (Dick Giesbrecht); daughter Eileen (Gus Brewer); daughter-in-law Diane; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Philip; her son Harry; son Jack; and daughter-in-law Marlene. Tina was born on April 25, 1920 in Plum Coulee, Manitoba. She and Philip moved to Winnipeg in 1971 where she worked as a seamstress in garment factories until she retired in 1977. Tina always enjoyed being with family and friends. She always enjoyed talking about spiritual things. She enjoyed reading and baking, and in her earlier days, when her health permitted, singing and sewing. She and Phil were avid Blue Jays fans. She also was a fantastic Scrabble player. Thank you to the staff at Deer Lodge and Grace Hospital for your care over the past two months. Viewing will take place on Thursday evening July 2 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg. A celebration of Tina's life will be held following burial on Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Chapel, 465 Osborne Street, Winnipeg.
