ROBERT KENNETH EDWARDS August 22, 1926 - June 28, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert Kenneth Edwards on June 28, 2009 at his residence, at the age of 82. Robert (Bob) is predeceased by his parents, Jenny Messenger, Walter Edwards, two brothers, Donald Gordon, Donald Gordon II and his son Donald Scott. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Dorothy (Gaye), three children, Tom (Linda), Jennifer (Rick) and Stacey, seven grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Nikki, Brady, Kendra, Kayla and Ashley, his faithful companion Brutus, his stepfather Stewart Messenger, brother Murray (Win), and sister Wendy (Eli), and niece and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedics and the Winnipeg Police Service, who attended him with compassion and thoughtfulness, which our family greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba or The Heart and Stoke Foundation. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke in Transcona, with Father Owen Steeves presiding. Interment to follow at The Field of Honour, Transcona Cemetery.
