Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) MICHAEL WILKIE June 8, 1950 June 28, 2009 Peacefully, after a brief illness it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jim on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 59 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jim's memory are his wife Sharon; daughters Tracy and Faye; son Jamie; grandson Michael; mother Helen; sisters Melanie, Sharon; Heather; brothers Don and Scott. He was predeceased by his father James Wilkie and his first wife Silvia Wilkie. A Celebration of Jim's life will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice.

It’s taken me far too long. I think about you often - you were such a great person to me - as I fumbled my way through adolescence, your example was not lost on me, you welcomed me into your family, showed me your depth of character, intelligence, perspective and your time - not treating me like a kid, but with respect - these were all such positive influences in my young life at that time.
