Her beloved husband of 30 years, Harry Stein, passed away in 2004. Andree was born on January 19, 1927 in St. Boniface. After completing her childhood education at several convents, she attended St. Boniface Hospital School of Radiology and graduated in September 1947 and began her lifelong profession as an X-Ray technician. Andree had several hobbies. She loved cooking, gardening and sewing. Our memories of Christmas will always include Memere's fudge and tourtiere. Wherever she made her home, it was guaranteed to be filled with her creative talent for decorating and outside there would always be a beautiful flower garden. Her sewing talent has created many beautiful wedding gowns and graduation dresses for us to always treasure. In 1974, she married her second husband, Harry Stein, the love of her life. They moved to Thompson and spent the next 10 years doing what they both loved, fishing, camping and exploring their very own secret paradise, Valdy Lake. They retired to St. George in 1984, where many wonderful memories were created until they moved back to Winnipeg in 1996. Andree and Harry shared their long and happy marriage with all their wonderful pets. There were no pets in this world as lucky as theirs. Napoleon, her beloved Bouvier, and Duchess, her kitty are certainly missing her. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Ward 5B staff at St. Boniface, for their gentle and compassionate care of their mother, particularly Chris (Bob the Builder) and Paul for the extra effort they made to make her last days comfortable. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3 or The CancerCare Foundation of Manitoba, Rm. 1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
