GORDON ALFRED WHEATLEY July 25, 1952 - June 28, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gord with his family by his side, Sunday June 28, 2009 after fighting a brave battle with cancer, at the age of 56. Gord is survived by his loving wife Laura of 12 years, his canine companion Tia, mother-in- law Florence Todd, brother-in-law Ernie Todd, Jason and Jazmine. Gord was a survivor. He was predeceased by his parents at a young age of 16. He worked hard all his life. Gord was a dedicated employee for C.P. Railway for the last 33 years. He will be sadly missed by Laura, his dog Tia, family, friends and neighbours. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. If so desired donations may be made in Gord's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
