Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA (MARY) POBURAN Maria (Mary) Poburan, born on December 10, 1926 in Kenora, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital with her loved ones by her side on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Remaining to forever cherish Maria's memory are her loving husband of 56 years George; her niece Michelle Franchuk; great-niece Chelsea Franchuk and her sister-in-law Millie (Fred) Smids. Due to Maria's loving nature, she will be missed by numerous friends who were like family. She was predeceased by her parents John and Sophie Franchuk; brother Mike Franchuk and nephew Michael Franchuk. Maria's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Over the previous several years Maria developed a special affection for all the health care personnel who gave her such compassionate and professional care. Special thanks and gratitude to her cancer doctors: Dr. Harris, Dr. Hutfluss, Dr. Ingels, and her family doctors: Dr. Winogrodzka and Dr. Birt and thank you to Father Ernie Hafichuk for his support towards Maria.
