He leaves to mourn his loving wife Anne and his sister Marie Louise Marchildon. Tony was a wonderful loving stepfather to Anne's three children Bohdan, Tania and Stephen; grandfather to four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He leaves many nieces and one nephew; many cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Valeda Lamothe; his in-laws Mary and Nick Kuryk; his sisters Sister Rosaria and Bibiane and also his brothers David, Joseph and Laurent; his first wife Raymonde and his godchild Gilbert Marchildon. Tony was heartbroken to leave the home in St. François Xavier, his farm and his church where he was baptized, confirmed and married but due to his stroke he had to move to the city. Tony was a very active man who farmed all his life, loved his sports, curling, bowling, horseshoes, baseball and pool. He leaves his many friends at the ANAF #283. We would like to thank his doctors at the Assiniboine Clinic, also to Catherine Cameron and her home care workers for the wonderful care we received. Special thank you to Lloyd and Odile Thibert and also Victoria Mryglad, Anne's sister, and most of all to the nurses at the Grace Hospice. Prayers will be said on Friday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. François Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Isaie Blanchette, O.M.I. presiding. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to the Grace Hospice Cancer Care Unit or to the St. Francois Xavier Building Fund. 586-8044

This is a bit of a stretch. I am researching some of the Lamothe family. Antonio's brother Laurent was married to my great aunt, Juliette Dufresne. Their son, Denis was my mom's brother. Adopted to Juliette and Laurent. I am not a blood relative but I would be interested in talking to any of the family that remember Juliette, Denis, etc. Have photos, etc. Sorry for posting on Antonio's obituary, it's just a way for me to connect with his family. Feel free to contact me and remove this comment. thanks! -Adam - Posted by: Adam Sutherland (Distant relative) on: Feb 16, 2013
