Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRANT HAINSTOCK Peacefully, with his family by his side, our dear father and grandfather passed away on July 7, 2009. Grant will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Donna Billett, sons Murray (Karen) and James, and his grandchildren; Jody, Jillian, Marcus and Olivia. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Armetta Hainstock, brothers and sister; Ernie, Jack and Meryl, and son-in-law Brent Billett. Grant was born November 5, 1928 near Shoal Lake, Manitoba, he was raised and educated in the Russell area. In 1946 he joined the Canadian Navy. After leaving the navy Grant worked at Atomic Transfer in Winnipeg. He later owned and operated Teulon Transfer in Teulon. Dad was always a sports enthusiast and in his latter years enjoyed playing cards and watching baseball. Following Grant's wishes a private family service will be held. Friends who so desire may make donations in Grant's memory to Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, MB. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion. Also thank you to the staff and home care at Gateway Lodge, for the exceptional care Grant received the past few years. Special Thank-you to his dear granddaughters for all their love and care, during these past few weeks. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
