JOAO ALBERTO ATAIDE da SILVA December 5, 1949 July 9, 2009 Peacefully with family by his side, Joao passed away July 9, 2009 at the age of 59 years. He is predeceased by his parents Gilberto Silva and Maria Berta Silva. Joao is survived by his sons, Joao Filipe da Silva and his daughter Brittney da Silva; Marcio da Silva and their mother Maria. He leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers Estela (Armando) Fernandes; Gisela (Gabriel) de Medeiros; Adolfo Silva; Maria Berta Silva; Gilberto Manuel (Ana) Silva; Ana (Candido) Macerlino; Marilia (Evaristo) Silva; Luis Antonio (Bonita) Sipa; Cristina (Paulo) Coelho; nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday July 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Very Reverend Father Jose Eduardo Medeiros celebrant. A public viewing will take place one half hour before mass. Cremation to follow. The family gratefully declines flowers at this time and if so desired contributions can be made in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
