SHERRY-LYNN LEWIS After a short but very courageous battle with Cancer, we sadly announce the passing of Sherry-Lynn Lewis. Left to cherish her loving memories is her mother Shirley; sister Deana; brother Sean (Kat); niece Cierra; nephews Dustin, Evan, Owen and numerous close friends and family. Sherry was predeceased by her great-grandmother Mary Anderson, father Dean Lewis, uncle Bill Anderson, uncle Richard Pond and uncle Bill Dagg. Sherry-Lynn was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and was a very compassionate, caring and dedicated person. She touched many lives and made many friends that were like family to her. Sherry was the type of person that when your paths crossed you had a friend for life. Her beautiful smile and charming personality will be truly missed. Sherry had a great time making friends and working in operator services with Manitoba Telephone Services. She started there in 1983 and stayed there till she decided to move on with her career path of choice and entered the world of nursing, at this time she decided to become an LPN and there she met her classmates and became good friends with all of them. After graduating in 1999 she started her employment at the Selkirk and District General Hospital and enjoyed working with the great people at the hospital. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk with Rev. Brian Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clement's Cemetery. We would like to take this time to thank the many doctors and nurses at HSC, CancerCare and especially the co-workers who took care of Sherry at the S DGH. We will all miss and love you so very much Sherry-Lynn. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
