Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE ROSLYN (nee SOKOLIUK) On July 9, 2009, Anne Roslyn passed away peacefully with family at her side at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Anne was born on February 5, 1914 in Sundown, MB. Anne married Bill in 1936 and they settled in Pine Falls, MB on The Rock. For many years Anne was the proud owner of the Pine Falls Beauty Shoppe and had very many loyal customers who became lifelong friends as well. She relocated to Winnipeg in 1999 and enjoyed life in the city, visiting with friends and relatives, the casinos and playing cards. Even at the age of 95 she was involved in activities every day. Anne is survived by her sister Olga and special cousin Barbara Golebeski (Bill) and sisters-in-law Ann, Cynthia, Elsie and Pam, and by many loving nephews, nieces (especially George, Barbara and Jerry who grew up across from her on The Rock). She is also survived by many devoted cousins (especially Liz Hirschfield), extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in December 1992, her parents Onufry and Maria, brothers John, Steve, Alex, Bill and Michael, and sister Pauline, and by Bill's parents and sisters-in-law Anne and Mary, and brothers-inlaw Adam, Ben and Mike. Also her special dog Schmoo predeceased her in April 2004 and was missed and remembered every day. A funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 am with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Grieve not for me, Nor mourn the while, For happier would I be To see you smile. Let no tears fall Since I have passed away, But miss me, and Remember me each day. Live you, your lives, As I would want you to. And treat my fellow person As I would do. And when the time has come, Your lives be through. I shall be waiting here For each of you.
