Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN KOVAC (nee WALKER) April 17, 1925 - July 14, 2009 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean Kovac at the Concordia Hospital on July 14, 2009 at age of 84 years. Jean was predeceased by her husband George, parents Charlie and Florence Walker, brother Charlie, sister Iris and daughter-in-law Barbara. Left to cherish Jean's memory are her son Keith, grandson Kevin (Tiffani), granddaughter Sathya, niece Suzie and many nieces and nephews back home in England. Jean was raised in Sheffield, England and married George Kovac in 1944. She was involved in many social activities and was a long standing member at the Transcona Legion. Grandma enjoyed the company of all her friends at the legion. She loved drinking tea, cracking jokes and had a deep compassion for animals. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Friday, July 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
