EDITH A. TURNER Peacefully, on July 14, 2009 at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home, Edith passed away at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Fred and brother Len Longney. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Valerie MacLean and Beverley (Roger Vandel); grandchildren Jeffrey Zeiner, Curtis (Heather) Zeiner, Sarah (Dal Lynds) and Kathryn (Dan Guenter); great-grandchildren Dylan and Kayla Zeiner; her sister Betty Larke as well as numerous extended family and friends. Mom loved to be active and help others and this was most evident with her many years of volunteer service with Deer Lodge Veterans Hospital, St. James Legion and St. James United Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Place, 1325 Erin St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary Place, 1325 Erin St., Winnipeg R3E 3R6. Edith's family would like to say a special thanks to her beloved niece Joan Sawatzky and the staff of 3 North Calvary Place for their care and compassion over the past few years.
