MARGARET LYN LINDSTROM After a six year battle with Cancer, Lyn passed away peacefully in her home on July 15, 2009 with her family by her side. Lyn was born in Inwood, MB on March 2, 1944. She met her husband Ken at the age of 16 and they were happily married for 45 years. Lyn enjoyed cooking, painting, entertaining and spending time with family camping and fishing. She had an incredible sense of humour and loved to make people laugh. Lyn always cherished her family and friends above anything else and took pride in all of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Through her battle with cancer she never once felt sorry for herself and always felt there was someone worse off than her. She faced everything she went through head on with a positive attitude. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ken Lindstrom, sons Jeff (Shannon) and Jason (Colette), her five grandchildren Kevin, Nicolette, Jayden, Riley and Tyson, her brother Wilfred (Maureen) Maskow, and sister Sharon Todd, Ken's brothers Keith (Jennie) Lindstrom and Irvin (Beverly) Lindstrom as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Mary Maskow, mother and father-in-law Johan and Selma Lindstrom and her brother-in-law Martin Todd. The family would like to thank the physicians and the numerous nurses from CancerCare Manitoba as well as the Beausejour home care and palliative care staff who helped Lyn with her courageous battle. A special thanks to Lyn's friends and family, words cannot express our appreciation for your love and support. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB with Pastor Bart Coleman officiating. A private interment will take place at Norris Lake Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Lyn's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
