JOYCE EVELYN DARLINGTON It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Joyce Evelyn Darlington on July 15, 2009 at the age of 85, at River East Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters Susan of Montreal and Laura (Richard Poritz) of Vancouver; grandsons Freeman and Blake. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 2001 after 56 years of marriage. Joyce was born in Winnipeg in 1923, the daughter of Eva and Fred Thompson. She was also predeceased by her parents; sisters Audrey, Elnora and Hazel and brothers Douglas and Earle. She is survived by her brother Les Thompson and his wife Darlene; nephews Len and John (Natalie) and other nieces and nephews in BC and Ontario. Joyce loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their compassionate care.
