GERALD (GERRY) W. C. WALLIS 1940 - 2009 It is with deep sorrow that we announce Gerry's passing on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Remaining to forever cherish Gerry's memory are his wife of 35 years Pat (nee Gray); sisters Bev Papageorgiou (Michael), Linda Tsouras (George); brother Ron Wallis (Pat); his sons Don and Dave; grandchildren Breanne and Taylor as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Lorraine Wallis and his mother and father-in-law Dave and Audrey Gray. Gerry was born in Gladstone MB, but lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked at MTS for the better part of 35 years, retiring in 1995. Gerry loved sports of all kinds and loved to travel; many trips were taken to Florida, Arizona, and Texas for golf. Grand Forks was like a second home for him, more golf (and shopping of course). Gerry loved life, was smart, and funny. He had a laugh that went from the tips of his toes to the tip of his head. You need not be in the same room to know it was him. In compliance with Gerry's wishes a private family service was held Friday, July 17, 2009. A special thank you to Pat's and Gerry's family for all of their love and support as well as to the wonderful doctors and nursing staff on GD-6 HSC and CancerCare Manitoba. Who loves you Junie Moon?
