R. BRUCE TURRIFF 1922 - 2009 There is a new beginning and an end of a journey for our father, Bruce Turriff. On Wednesday, July 15, Dad left this life to begin another. He is survived by his children, Bev (Dan Trachuk) of Fisher Branch, MB, Rick (Laura) of Terre Haute, Indiana and Arlie (Rick Schween) of St. Andrews, MB. Missing their Grandpa terribly are Krisy (Dave Nahuliak), Ashley and Daylene (Carter Litke) and great-grandchildren, Kanesha, Sydney, Christian and Nicki Nahuliak and Charlyse and Micaylee Litke. After serving in the Navy during the Second World War, Dad worked for the CNR for 37 years, retiring as an engineer in 1977. During his retirement he split his time between his two passions, his cottage in Rice Lake, Ontario and his winter home in Melaque, Mexico. Both places allowed him to live his retirement to the fullest, doing the things he loved the most. He made many good friends and as many good memories during his time in both places. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to his little nurse Germaine, Dr. Ted St. Goddard and the staff on 3E at Riverview for making the end of Dad's journey the best it could be. We especially want to thank our family and friends for the support they have shown us at this time. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Care Manitoba would be appreciated. Dad we will never forget you.
