JOANNE PERRY March 16, 1951 July 16, 2009 It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce the passing of our sister and Auntie Joanne (Jody) Perry on July 16, 2009 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Jody was predeceased by her two children: Melanie in 1996 and Donnie in 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents George (Ed) and Irene Perry, grandparents, and uncle. Jody will be greatly missed by her sisters Wendy (Bob) Hatch and Cheryle Sauls (Michael). She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews: Marnie, Jamie, David, Sean and her great-nephew Kai. As well, she will be missed by her husband Jake Sawatzky. Although Jody had many struggles in her short life, she always had a heart of gold. No matter how sick she was, she always cared about others' wellbeing. On her good days, she had a great sense of humour and always managed to make people laugh. She loved to wear makeup, have her hair done, dress up, and she always kept up on the latest fashions. Jody's home was always immaculate. She loved to clean and even had her own little housekeeping business at one time. She was proud of her room at Middlechurch, and no matter where she lived, her home always had a warm feel to it. As per Jody's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. There will be a private family service at a later date. Jody always had a great love of animals, therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg R3T 0R3 or to The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, R4A 4A6 where Jody enjoyed her last 3 years in comfort would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the staff on B2 at The Middlechurch Home. Your support and care is greatly appreciated. Rest in peace, dear Jody. Till we meet again. We love you. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Send expressions of sympathy at www.mem.com.
