MARJORIE JACOBSEN (nee COLLICUT) Peacefully at MiddleChurch Home on July 14, 2009, Marjorie Jacobsen passed away at the age of 89. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Emily Collicutt and husband Walter. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons: Allen (Carole), Ken (Wendy), Ron (Debby); grandchildren Debbie, Derek, Jamie, Bryan, Kayla, Alaina and great-granddaughter Bevin. Also survived by her sister Eileen (Les) Hammond and brother Bert Collicutt (Helen) in BC and many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was born, raised and went to school in West Kildonan, worked as a legal secretary before marrying Walter when he returned from overseas in 1946. Together they raised three boys. Some of Marjorie's fondest memories included the trips to Grand Beach when the kids were small, family get togethers , travelling west with the Eadie clan and overseas to visit cousins. She enjoyed spending time with friends from Bleak House, United Women's League, Kildonan Park and the girls from Cliffords. Marjorie was an active member of St. Martin in the Field Anglican Church for more than 60 years. In keeping with Marjorie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service is planned. Special thanks to Jean, her close friend for more than 80 years during this difficult time and to Helena and staff at Middlechurch. In leu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Martin-in-the-Field Anglican Church at 160 Smithfield Ave. Winnipeg.
