ADRIENNE CHABIDON (AUDREY) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Adrienne (Audrey) Chabidon, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Audrey is predeceased by her sisters: Rose, Rita, Yvette and Annette and brothers, John and Maurice, and she leaves behind her sister Lucienne (Lucy). In this large and loving family they were known for their love of laughter and their love for each other. Audrey married Maurille Chabidon in 1943 and was predeceased by him in 1985. They created their own loving family and Audrey leaves behind her sons Léo, René (Annette) and Marcel, her grandchildren, Paul, Holly, Michael (Kim) and Roxanne (Allan), and her great-grandchild Julien. She was predeceased by her only daughter, Estelle, in 2000. Audrey is remembered for her lovely kindness, calm gentle presence, perseverance, work ethic and her willingness to laugh. She was rarely idle and spent many hours creating beautiful works of petit-point and many crafts for her family, friends and charitable organizations. Her gardens were beautifully kept and a source of joy for her and some amazement to her family. She did not shrink from a challenge or an opportunity and supported many church related groups with her efforts and presence. She was always positive and would only see the best in those around her. Audrey will be remembered with love and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of Foyer Valade, in particular the staff of Unité Marguerite, and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital Emergency Ward. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home with Father Ron Leger presiding. Pallbearers are Paul, Holly, Michael and Roxanne Chabidon and Paul and Lloyd Richardson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery 1 Green Acres Lane, Springfield (204) 222-3241 Hwy #1 inside the Perimeter at Winnipeg Life stories may be shared at www.mem.com
