GEORGE EDWARD (TED) GILBERT TODD JR. May 9, 1948 - July 15, 2009 On July 15, 2009 with his daughters at his side, Ted passed away after a brief but hard fought battle with cancer, at the Riverview Health Centre. He leaves to mourn his two daughters, Cynthia (Jeremy) and grandchildren Jacynth, Jade, Randy, Douglas; Shannon (Gordon) and grandchildren Alexandria, Geoffrey, William, Conner; mother Phyllis and sisters Betty (Mike), Georgina, Trudy (Ralph), Gerrie (Bob) and Grace (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Edward, sister Elaine, niece Samantha, nephew Norman and brother-in-law Doug. He was extremely proud of his daughters and their children and talked about them often. In early years he enjoyed many hours with friends at the Royal Canadian Legion. He was an avid couch potato sports fan, watching hockey and the Blue Bombers. For many years he participated in 5-pin bowling. His favourite past time was listening to country music. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will follow at a later date. The family gratefully acknowledges the care provided by his sister Grace for the past several years. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of one's choice in his memory.
