DAWN HILDEBRAND (BREEN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dawn Hildebrand, after a brief, but courageous battle with Cancer. Dawn ended her journey on July 21, 2009. Dawn is survived by her three loving children, Holly, Shay and Miranda, sister Susan Friesen (Jake), brothers Dave Breen (Debbie) and Bob Breen (Lisa), nieces and nephews, Melodie, Lindsay, Drew, Kyle, Ryan and Kevin, aunt and uncle Winnie and Brian Smith. Dawn was predeceased by her mother and father, Shirley and Ernie Breen and nephew Adam Friesen. Dawn was born and raised in St. James and graduated from Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. She was employed by M.P.I. for 30 years, were many lasting friendships were made. For the last years she had resided in St. Vital. Dawn was a much beloved mother, sister, niece and friend who will be sorely missed by many for her quiet, loving ways. The family would like to give a special thank you to long time friends Audrey and Faye, for all their support during Dawn's illness. In keeping with Dawn's wishes, a private family service will be held. A reception to honor Dawn's memory will be held Friday, July 24 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Deer Lodge Community Centre, 323 Bruce Ave. East. Due to Dawn's love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave.
