YVONNE STUART (nee PEEVER) August 16, 1932 - July 19, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Yvonne. She will be deeply missed by her children Cam (and Megan), Kathryn (and granddaughter Snejina), and Patricia. Yvonne had many treasured friends, some of whom she'd known for most of her 76 years, and was blessed with fine neighbours. She has gone to be with Ken, her beloved husband of 42 years, for a happy hour G T in the Great Beyond. Yvonne had a passion for life, enjoyed a love of the outdoors, wildlife, road trips, reading, and music of all sorts. The soundtrack of her life included Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, 'Retha, and Big Dave McLean whose personal visits were always a great thrill. Being a Leo, she had a great affinity with cats and shared a particular bond with her latest, Pearl and Lily. She was fortunate to have lived the full extent of her life in her childhood home and as a kid was known as Bubby . With her keen sense of humour, she enjoyed many delightful moments with friends and family. She loved to laugh. She was also fortunate to travel and had a dream come true with a voyage to Ireland late in her life. Having worked many years at MTS, Yvonne studied at RRCC and changed careers to work with the AFM. She loved her work there and put her heart into it. Cam, Kathryn and Pat would like to express to Dr. Arthur Blank their gratitude for his compassion and understanding with both Ken and Yvonne. Cremation has taken place. Thanks to Darin and Mary-Ellen at Mosaic Funeral Services for their kind manner. Please make a generous donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 982-2021. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, August 2 between 3:00 p.m. and sundown. Nice driveway, Y-bon!

The Munn/Strongeagle families are sorry to learn of your loss. We will remember Yvonne for her laughter, sense of the absurd, love of the blues, dancing and love of her kids. We met many times at various blues venues in Winnipeg. She and Ken travelled to the west coast and visited us in Cowichan Bay . Sorry to hear about your loss. I have great memories of your Mom. She had a warmth and comfort about her as we were kids growing up next to her. We were very fortunate to have her as our neighbour. She also introduced me to a love of Blues with Dave McLean at the Viscount Lounge. That was almost 30 years ago..Morley Ave. won't feel the same without her presence.
