BRYAN DAVID JENNINGS Bryan David Jennings, at the young age of 43, passed away on July 20, 2009 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon after a determined battle with cancer. Bryan was born in Saskatoon on April 20, 1966. He is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife, Colleen, daughters Rylee (6) and Taylor (3), his parents, Dave and Charlotte from Saskatoon, two brothers, Robert (Sandy and son Ben) from Indianapolis and Brent (Kim and son Cole) from Calgary. Bryan attended Evan Hardy Collegiate in Saskatoon and was looking forward to attending his 25th Reunion this summer. Although his life was cut short, he accomplished many things, was well traveled and said he had no regrets, other than the fact he would miss out on seeing his girls grow up and grow old with his wife. They gave him the courage to fight this dreaded disease with everything he had. Bryan was a Computer Systems Engineer and spent his free time on the computer, developing his own websites. He worked for Great West Life, which gave him top notch health coverage. His work companions were so supportive throughout this whole ordeal. Everyone who met Bryan liked him. He was so personable and friendly. He had a swift wit that brought smiles even in his last hours. His passing has brought great sadness to his family and his dear friends whom he loved. Bryan and his family are very appreciative of the excellent care he received from the staff at CancerCare Manitoba St. Boniface unit throughout his treatments. They would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Ralph Wong, oncologist, and his assistant, Kathy Kyryluk, for their personal care and attention and to Dr. Tom Hack for his psychosocial support. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bryan's name are appreciated. Cremation took place on July 21, 2009. A small private gathering was held at his parent's home on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Saskatoon. Another gathering will be held in Winnipeg at a later date yet to be determined.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Steve & I are shocked & saddened to hear of Bryan's passing. We enjoyed our time with him in Calgary and the many laughs we shared in Virginia. Claudio's, "The Great Wizard", Sega Saturdays and Ball Hockey were just some of the highlights of our time spent with him. He always had a smile and an anecdote to match the crazy situations we got in. Colleen, our prayers go out to you and your children in this difficult time. Our deepest sympathies, Melanie & Steve - Posted by: Melanie & Steve Farkas (Friend) on: Aug 02, 2009
