LISA CHRISTINE DAY It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lisa on July 23, 2009 at the age of 32. Survived by her are parents Marie and Brian Day; sister Jennifer Vandenbosch (Brent); nephew Brayden, as well as special friends Trevor, Donna, and Tim, extended family and numerous friends. Lisa was predeceased by her grandparents Mike and Catherine Tataryn, to whom she became very close. May Lisa find peace and happiness in heaven with them now. Lisa was born November 9, 1976 in BC, where she resided until moving to Winnipeg in 1984. She graduated from Transcona Collegiate Institute then worked as a health care aid until completing a Human Resource Management program at the University of Winnipeg. Lisa was full of energy and was the life of the party wherever she went. She was always considerate of others and made sure that both young and old were having a good time. Lisa will always be remembered for her infectious smile, friendly manner, and loving heart. Throughout Lisa's life she made numerous friends, who will all miss her dearly and never forget her. Her passions were playing soccer, kick-boxing, baseball and more recently fishing, overjoyed after catching her first fish. She had a great compassion for animals and loved her dogs Sasha and Rusty. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Church, Selkirk, with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. I am lovely Lisa's cousin through Brian's half-brother, James Stuart Day (born 1938). Sadly, through life circumstances, I never knew her. I am sad to have learned of my Uncle Brian and Auntie Marie's loss. I remember them, when in the very early 1970s, they visited us in Victoria, BC. I always wanted to know them. My heart now breaks for their great loss. God be with them always. I hope to one day meet with them. The life circumstances had to do with my parents' sad issues. May God help them, as well. Dear Marie and Family I am so sad to hear about the loss of your dear Lisa and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you at this time and hoping that you will be comforted by beautiful memories. With each memory let our heart's be reminded that nothing can take away the beauty we have known, for love remains a part of us forever. Sweet Lisa, I'm going to miss you so much. We had fun every time we worked together, so many memories of our pranks and mischief. We would be total goofballs and get the residents shaking their heads and laughing at us, and then rolling their eyes when they'd see us come on together for the next shift... Your heart was enormous! Your smile and laugh contagious. I'm so very glad that we became friends Lisa. So many hearts are breaking now. I just want my friend back. Give Sasha a big sloppy smooch for me. Love, Cathy Smith - Posted by: Cathy Smith (Friend) on: Jul 27, 2009
