LUELLA NANCY MAY CYRE May 10, 1922 - July 24, 2009 It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Luella Nancy May Cyre at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the age of 87. Luella was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2000. Luella will be lovingly remembered by her sister Rena (Bill) of Sundre, Alberta; son Tony (Julie); daughter Candace, and son Mark of Toronto; grandchildren, Patricia, Laura, Gwyneth, and Charlotte. Luella was born in Crandall, MB to Alexander and Mary Edna Ferris. She graduated from The Neepawa General Hospital nursing program, and worked as a Registered Nurse at the Health Sciences Centre, first at the Women's Pavillion and then in Geriatrics. Gardening, crafts, photography, baking, travelling, golf and especially spending time with her grandchildren were all things which Mom enjoyed doing. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Timothy's Parish, 135 John Forsyth Road with Rev. Fr. Phil Daley presiding. Interment to be held in Green Acres Cemetery. A heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses on D2 at the Health Sciences Centre and Golden Links Lodge for their care of and compassion for Mom during her short stay with them.
