IRENE MCCALL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Irene McCall. Mom was born February 13, 1919 and passed away July 27, 2009 at her home in Concordia Place. Mom was predeceased by her first husband, Harry McCulloch, in 1964 and by her second husband George McCall in 1991. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Carol and Brian and their spouses Glen and Adrianne; grandchildren Terry (Carolyn) and Kristine (Dave); great-grandson Tristan; Carolyn's boys Carson and Jadon; stepson George (Carol) and family; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Irene was a very special person who touched the lives of many and who will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She spent her entire life in Elmwood, from her homes on Herbert Ave., Columbus House, and Concordia Place Personal Care Home. Mom was a lifetime member of Elmwood Legion and spent 50 years in the Ladies Auxiliary. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street followed by interment in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Concordia Hospital Foundation, 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2K 3S8.
