FERN IRENE WADE DOUGLAS GRAHAM WADE Peacefully, on Thursday July 23, 2009, Fern Wade passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 85, beloved wife of Doug Wade, who passed away on January 10, 2001 at the age of 80. They were both predeceased by their parents; Doug by brothers, William and Bruce Wade and Fern by her first husband Charles Robert Kelpin, brother-in-law Elai Erickson and her niece Rheta Olafson. They are sadly missed and remembered by her sister Bernice Erickson, niece Judith (Walter) Elsenpeter, nephews, Elai and Bryan Erickson, beloved godson Wade (Stacey) Elsenpeter and many great and great-great nieces and nephews and her companion/caregiver Joan. Both Fern and Doug were employed by Manitoba Hydro, were active in the Charleswood political scene and loved their precious poodles. A memorial service celebrating their lives and wish to be together will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
