FRANCES EDWARDS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and granny on July 28, 2009 at the age of 81. Fran was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2002 and her son Bob in 2003. She is remembered by her daughter Sharon (Rick) her daughter-in-law Sue; grandchildren, Jackie (Dave), Robyn, Brock, Braden and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Jerni, and Tatyana. Mom spent many summers at Hillside Beach and loved her winters in Florida. She was frequently seen at garage sales and flea markets but was never as happy as when she was with children. They could always count on her for a good game of what's behind the curtain . Her love of family and friends was evident in everything she did particularly with her grand and great-grandchildren, she was proud of all of them. Granny loved Christmas; decorating, baking and spending time with her family. She was a strong courageous woman with a zest for life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We are much appreciative of the homecare workers and in particular Kristy, who provided her with the assistance that allowed her to live on her own. Also, the compassion shown during her brief time spent at the Riverview Palliative Care Unit. A service will be held on Friday July 31 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Georges Anglican Church in Wakefield, MB. Burial will follow at the Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Georges Anglican Church, Box 219, Clandeboye, MB, R0C 0P0. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
