MICHAEL LIEWICKI June 3, 1922 July 25, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike on July 25, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Florence, two sons Ric (Angela) and Ken and grandchildren Jonathon, Travis and Caitlin. He is also survived by sisters Kay, Mary (Maurice), Jennie, Elsie (Ed) and Tom (Lovie). Mike was predeceased by his parents Anastasia and John and brother Frank. Mike was a Second World War veteran in the Canadian Navy, serving on the ship the HMCS Hallowel and a member of the West Kildonan Legion for 47 years. He had many hobbies, which included woodworking, painting and sculpting. Most of all he had the ability to fix or make just about anything and was our go to guy whenever any of us needed advice or help. Mike was a great husband, father and a very proud grandfather and we will miss him. At the time of his death, Mike resided at Fred Douglas Personal Care Home. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Fred Douglas for their excellent care during the last few years. As per Mike's wishes, there will be no funeral service held, but a private family service will be held at a later date. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
