Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERYL (TINSLEY) GIFFORD June 27, 1936 July 28, 2009 On a sunny afternoon Mum died peacefully at Riverview Health Centre surrounded by her family. Mum is lovingly remembered and survived by her four children, Brenda (Eric) Wallman, Derek, Trevor and Christine Gifford, granddaughter Kayla Wallman, brothers Malcolm (Shirley), Keith (Judy) Tinsley, cousin Angela (Doug) Brandson as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew and special friends, Pam and Harold West, Kathy and George Foley, The Very Rev. Bob and Janice Osborne, and many others she considered her extended family. Mum was born on June 27, 1936 in Wigan, England. In May of 1953 Mum came to Winnipeg with her family and joined the Bank of Montreal at that time. For the past twenty years Mum has been active in the parish of St. Luke's, where she was a Licensed Lay Reader and more recently a Sacramental Home Visitor. The communities of St. Luke's Church and St. Benedict's Monastery have been an invaluable source of spiritual care, support, and guidance during Mum's cancer treatments. Mum's love of her family, friends and life are memories to be cherished. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at CancerCare MB, Riverview Health Centre and the Purple Care Team at Riverview for the exemplary care they have given Mum. Special thanks to clergy, family and friends for all their love and support. We rejoice that her courageous spirit is now with God. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 130 Nassau Street, North. A reception will immediately follow the service. A private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, Mum has requested donations may be made to the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF), 80 Hayden St. Toronto, ON, M4y 3G2. http://www.pwrdf.org. Donations to PWRDF are also accepted at any Anglican Church in Canada. Those who look to the Lord will win new strength, they will grow wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they will march on and never grow faint.
